The malaise is instantly palpable.

The sitter's head is so warped it appears to have no way of accurately interpreting the world around it beyond a small parasitic second head attached to its neck with which it is unclear how much communication is possible. His hands are clasped in prayer, perhaps the only hope he has left. Often the artist pushes heads into bizarre shapes and proportions in order to explore themes of politics, faith and the nature of reality, guiding the viewer to ponder why each subject finds itself trapped in such strange form without any hint of an answer.
